System Design Engineer - GPU

What you'll be doing:

• Hardware Design for Server System, self-driving computer and GeForce, Quadro, Tesla GPU products
• Board/System level circuit research and Development
• Schematic concept design, Component selection and Bill of Material generation
• Board/system level Hardware debug and verification
• Responsible for product design issue in the life cycle
• Guide PCB layout engineer for placement, power and high-speed signals routing
• Guide design Validation engineer for signal measurement
• DC/DC Power design, debugging and measurement
• Co-work with silicon solution team for chip level bring up
• Co-work with software engineers on debug and FA
• Co-work with SI/EMC engineers for signal quality and EMC issue
• Co-work with mechanical/thermal engineers for system mechanical and thermal design
• Work with power vendors including silicon and magnetic vendors and drive technologies innovations

• BS/MSEE and 5+ years of power system design and debugging experience
• Deep understanding of different power electronics circuit topologies, and familiar with different power level requirement
• Hands on experience for power electronics hardware development
• Familiar with various voltage regulator chip architectures, magnetic design, mosfet property, PCB layout and state-of the art techniques for integration and efficiency optimizations
• Familiar spice based simulation (Simplis/SImetrix was better), calculation and analytical models for prediction of design concept outcome including control loop stability, transient responses, layout analysis and parasitic extractions
• Knowledge of systems design in Server/Automotive market, and demonstrated successful product definition in this area
• Proven strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decision

• Hardware design experience for automotive electrical product. or server system design
• Isolate power design experience for Automotive power system (Front-end)
• Software skills for MCU development, Linux
• Background in high-volume, low cost application
