AE BMS

This role is responsible for application support for battery automotive products used in EV, HEV and PHEV.
Key responsibilities include:
Ø  Answer customer questions and supporting design-in activities for released products. This includes:
n  Forum and email questions from customers
n  Schematic and Layout Review of customer application
n  Debug of customer problems by re-creating issues in our evaluation boards and/or customer boards
n  On-site support for customer board as required as well as for technical training and deep-dive
Ø  Design EVM and internal evaluation boards to support correlation and evaluation activities of new products
Ø  Create user guides, test procedures and proper release of EVM boards for customer consumption
Ø  Participate in datasheet review to ensure completeness of datasheet being developed by the Systems Engineer
Ø  Perform Bench Characterization, hardware design and develop test techniques to 'break the part'
Ø  Participate in new silicon testing from an application perspective to ensure robustness of the product (i.e. destructive testing)
Ø  Work with systems engineer and product marketing engineers to provide support to early design in activities for new products
Ø  Create custom reference designs targeting relevant applications to be used as customer implementation ideas
Ø  Write application notes that explain different use cases, implementation and/or flexibility of our products
Minimum qualifications
Ø  Bachelor in Electrical Engineer or related field of study
Ø  A minimum of 5 years experience in related field and of 3+ years supporting automotive customers
Ø  Understanding of analog products, with focus on power management and battery management
Ø  Understanding of battery management systems and battery monitors
Ø  HW and SW development and debugging skills
Ø  Knowledge of PCB design tools
Ø  Knowledge of EMI/EMC automotive standards
Ø  Fundamentals of Python or C/C++ or other programming languages
Ø  Basics of microcontroller programming
Ø  Fluent in English
Ø  Knowledge of other languages is a plus (Japanese, Korean)
