Application Engineer/Snr App.Eng/AE Mgr

Working as a bridge between potential customers and engineering teams, AEs use possible customer inputs and sales information (included FAE’s) to design or re-design, develop, test and implement various audio chip solutions. AEs also provide technical support and expertise to customers, testing application solutions, responding to various potential customer feedback, installations, maintenance and often performing sales presentations and demonstrations with FAE together. AEs reach across many departments, working with the design/engineering team, the sales/FAE team, the operation team and the business team, etc. and be responsible for potential customers’ solutions development with various audio chips. The AE’s responsibilities include various application circuitry design, PCB design from design entry, to layout, and Gerber generation, PCB fabrication (outsourcing), components soldering, PCB board debugging/troubleshooting, to guarantee entire hardware set performance ok and deliverable for customers.
 
Required Skills/Qualifications:
-B.E.(EE) or M.E. (audio specialization preferred)
-2+ years experience in developing various audio chips application solution for customers
-Product orientated with feedback on improvement and modification
-Good communication skills, creativity, and strong commitment to the responsibilities and goals
-Knowledge on fabrication is must for PCB
-Proficient in PCB design tools such as protel, PADS, Cadence Allegro etc.
-Good knowledge in DC power supply design, constant voltage and constant current circuit design, various op-amp circuits, inverter and converters, etc.
-Good knowledge in hardware troubleshooting, PCB fabrication as well
-Good knowledge about microcontrollers is a plus
-Self-motivated and self-starter; work with minimal supervision; results driven
-Good logical thinking is required
-Basic knowledge on FPGA
-Product presentation experience and skills at trade shows
-Ability and willingness to travel
