Overview:
Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a key member of the Global HR organization and a partner of the Veeco China Management Team. The HRBP will work closely, and partner effectively, with the local management team, the Asia HR team and the Corporate HR group to help achieve business results of the Veeco China organization. The HRBP will proactively assess the organization’s talent issues and develop and propose strategic HR initiatives to improve work processes, enhance employee engagement and organization development while also being responsible for HR operations and ensuring legal compliance. The HRBP will roll out, align and support HR responsibilities, programs and policies including, but not limited to: organization development, talent and succession planning, leadership development, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, performance management and workforce planning. The HRBP will also partner with Asia Talent Acquisition and Asia Payroll to ensure smooth operations of Recruiting and Payroll functions.
Responsibilities:
- Review, recommend modifications to and implement HR policies and processes as appropriate; ensure all company policies and procedures are legally compliant and consistently followed in the Veeco China organization.
- Proactively evaluate and seek improvements in operational efficiency.
- Act as a partner to Veeco China management to strengthen management and employee capabilities and effectiveness.
- Partner with Veeco China Management to develop human resources strategies and action plans that support business strategies and competitive market practices
- Partner with Asia Talent Acquisition Team to ensure that Veeco China organization is staffed with competent individuals possessing the right competencies and qualities.
- Monitor employee engagement level, being an employee advocate and effectively manage employee relations.
- Partner with the Veeco China Management Team to shape the environment and culture that engages employees and strives for business success and performance.
- Provide general HR guidance and support to line managers.
- Responsible for effective administration of the Company’s export compliance requirements and procedures.
- Responsible for China HR operations and benefit administration.
- Ensure local compliance for China HR functions; takes all actions required to fulfill compliance requirement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related fields
- Minimum 5 years of HR experiences, including 3 years of HRBP/HR Generalist experiences
- Experience working in a highly matrix organization
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Solid knowledge of employment regulations
- Solid experience in full function HR responsibilities
- Strong execution to derive and implement HR programs and plans achieving business and organization success
- Effective computer (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS) skills
- Strong organizational capabilities and business acumen; able to identify HR implications from business objectives
